There's a guy I've seen a number of times at our rehearsal space that plays in a alternative/rock sort of band (think Dave Matthews kind of stuff, but with distorted guitars).

He'd been playing a Epiphone and an ESP the last few times I saw him.

Long story short, he saw me playing one day, asked about my guitar and played it. Even though he can't really do much with a 7-string, he was still enamored with the guitar and very impressed.

Well, I saw him again last night for the first time in a month or so, he had a trans-aqua (not sure on the color name, but it was very aqua in color) Axis hardtail!

He said it was all due to me. ;)

That's 2 so far, only a few hundred thousand more to go! :D

Thanks Jeffrey!!! And to think, how many of his guitarist friends will see that Axis, ask him the same questions, then convert. Then how many of THEIR guitarist friends....

I'm trying Beth! :)

I think part of the thing hurting this area is the only EB guitar dealer is um.. less than popular around here.

Maybe I should just open my own store! :D:eek: ;)

It is hard to convert most people for financial reasons. You tell them how much you paid for your guitar and their face just drops. It takes a serious player to understand the benefit of paying for a top notch guitar. When I was in 8th grade starting out playing, I would never have even TOUCHED a guitar priced like an EB. That is why my first guitar was a peavey strat copy (which I still have) that I picked up w/ an amp and stand for $200 11 years ago.

I have yet to convert any of my friends for this very reason. Although, most of my friends are around my age (24) and do not have a decent job like me.

After all, Mickey D's doesnt support an EB addicts habit!

Yup... The only thing I don't like to mention about Balls to potential players is the price... But I guess it's too late by then, they are already in love!

I have a few targets in mind though...

You think they're expensive in the USA??? Try doubling the price in Europe. Nice guitars for sure but I can't see me getting another new one ever.
EBay for me!

Well the US dollar has really plummeted as of late, so you players in other countries (especially the UK) can probably afford more Balls than ever.

Yeah Jeff is right on the money, the only EB dealer we have here just not all that great (thats about as nice as i can be atm)

And yes Jeff you should open your own shop, that way I could harass you in person more often :D

You'd think. The last dealer I spoke to said there was a price rise in the pipeline. Being a lefty appears to make things worse.
