Last Friday night I was playing in a blues/rock band that do allot of George Thorogood,SRV,Zep,Rory Gallagher ....stuff like that. Anyway it gets a bit mad on stage jumping around and stuff. I have not played in this band for about a year and a half so it was the first time I used my SR5.

I loved the tone I was getting with my SR5 and mark bass rig........but I just couldn't "let myself go" with the sr5,i was playing too controled,it sounded great but I had to reach for a four string........the only 4 string I have are fenders,so I pick up a jazz to play a few songs and was straight back into the whole vibe jumping around like I was 18 again.

I don't hate fenders ( I still have 2 ) but they don't get played much since my sr5 came to live with me.

I have been wondering why I bought a bongo last week (should be here in a few days) and Friday night it clicked.....it is because SOMETIMES I WANT to play 4 string. I really am excited about the bongo, since I have never even put my hands on one, but even more so I have a 4 string to take to gigs with my AMAZING sr5 and so I don't feel dirty anymore.

And if you want it to be really, really basic, then by all means get a StingRay 4 H. No switch, no stacked pots, no need to tweak or adjust anything.

Just hassle free rockin' :D

I have been wondering why I bought a bongo last week...

I felt a bit of the same when I was waiting for my Stealth Bongo 4HH. But once I picked up the Bongo and plugged it in, I remembered. I bought the Bongo for it's...

DTG,

You think your Fenders don't get played much now - just wait till your Bongo comes; you'll be arrested for child neglect!!

Sounds like you're about to find a perfect bass...

The Bongo is certainly the bass to "let yourself go" with! :)
