And I'll be danged if it's not the best sounding guitar I ever played. It's EXACTLY the sound I wanted; a little bit more push in the mids than Strat style guitars, without the excessive natural compression I keep hearing from Les Paul type guitars. Absolutely fantastic.

But in Europe it would have cost me 2,700 euros, which is 3,000 USD. So I bought myself a Vigier Excalibur Ultra Blues for half price (1,350 instead of 2,700 as well); very different beast but probably the best made guitar I've ever played.

An Al HH is still in the pipeline though... but I have 7 electric guitars and no band. At least 3 will have to go!

tl;dr:

Albert HH = absotively amazing.

What kind of music do you guys play with the AL HH? I love that El Dorado Gold w/ RW neck I've been seeing on the GC Platinum website. I'm curious if it could handle more aggressive hard rock/heavy metal?

Yeah. It's pretty freaking great. When I got mine, I thought that it was just about the best sounding guitar ever.

Mine too. I'm actually considering unloading my AL M90 for another HH just to have one in a different colour :) I really don't want to play anything else and I've got lots just laying around.

I'm still waiting to try one. None around these parts yet :(

I love my two ALs, so I think the HH will become a favorite as soon as I can find one.

Pott I know you guys have it rough in the price department when it comes to some U.S. models, which amazes me when I see the amount of EBMM guitars some of you have. Congrats on the new purchase and keep your eye out on the used market, or for when you can swing one. I was hooked the minute I saw one with double buckers, and to find the neck felt better than my favorite EB neck- The Axis was the cherry on top!

The AL HH is indeed amazing, that's why I have 2!

EBMM are not common in Europe, my advice to Pott is to look in the US of even the UK. A much larger selection is available, and even with import taxes the costs will be much lower than those of the distributors...
