So, I have three balls now.

The Axis.... llliiick

The Petrucci... LIIIIICK

And now the Sub 1... LLLIIICKCIKCIKCIK!!


This is the best guitar in this price range I've ever played. This guitar kicks some assssss!!! I got the black color, HH, dimond pickguard and trem. Got it from Bassplyr's store! Bassplyr, you rule! :D I would have had it yesterday, but my Fedex driver is a lazy punk. Oh well, it's here, I'm happy and rockin on.. I'm on the fence with the pickups, they sound good, but it's too soon to tell if I'll keep them stock... prolly will and end up buying a second pickguard with diff pickups and make it hot swappable, eventually. I love the finish.. I can touch the guitar and not feel like I need to polish it afterward.. The locking tuners are quite different from others I've used, but functional...trem is good, keeps tune pretty well after huge dives. DEFINATLY a work horse guitar. The neck feels almost like the unfinished ones of its bretheren..... VERY playable. I LOVE IT! Pics forthcoming

Congrats Warg! The finish....is it like a matte finish or something? I heard it was rough to the touch.....give me the 411 on it. Again...congrats..... :cool:

Yeah it's matte-type finish. It is textured as they say, but it is not THAT rough to the touch. Almost like brail to the touch, but as much as sandpaper... feels good.

ok ok, pics now. They are not so great, but they get the job done.

The Sub is the biggest body and the heaviest of the 3... My sub actually is close to Les Paul heavy! :eek:

congrats, I play the sub when I go to GC to check out amps these days, great guitar and the neck doesnt skip a beat, the pups are not too shabby but im sure a duncan will sound better, good luck - im jealous, hopefully my next guitar!

I was 30 mins late for work yesterday because i lost track of time playing the ASS,i don't think the boss quite understands...
 
Hey Warg, welcome to my addiction now...yeah for the money nothing comes close to the SUB1, nothing! I love my SUB, and I've been trying to tell people out there, just how great it is...meh but they don't listen...Fender this and Gibson that...bah what do they know! Oh BTW nice, very nice!
