I guess the joke's on me... (LE08 Silo Spec Content!!!)

So... I get a call this morning from Justin McTierney from my local dealer... Sort of went like this:

"Lionel, I got some bad news for you..."

"yes?"

"It seems that there were some issues at the factory regarding parts availability on your guitar, so it's going to be here estimated by the end of Dec..."

"...oh, ok..." (What else could I say???)

"I'm sorry to have to tell you this though..."

"No prob. Guess that can't be helped."

"Thanks for understanding. One more thing..."

"Ya?"

At this point, I really wanted to murder the guy!!! He later told me, that because he knew how much I was waiting for this one to come in, he just had to pull this on me!!!

Honestly, this is REALLY hard to shoot. I'll have to see if I can get some proper daylight shots of this one. The colour is amazing, and the sparkle is really killer...

Plays about the same, I guess... Hahaha... Thing is, I'm finding the humbucker to be a tad bright. The Single coils are nice, and the middle selection is a cool sound. But the hum takes a bit of getting used to. It's nice, nevertheless... I'm stil an SSS guy, it seems.

Heh... BP, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Wait till the Japanese get their hands on this one. They're pretty anal about accurate representation, so I'm sure their pics will come out quite well.

If they can do this so nicely, I'm sure they'd be able to pull off the Sequoia Gold easily...

Though, truth be told, this "Gold" colour is unlike any I've ever seen!!! You guys REALLY outdid yourselves on this one.

P.S. Why do I feel like the first guy on this forum who's gotten his hands on an LE08???

BP, can you shed some light on what this colour compound actually is? I've looked at it under various light sources, and I can spot red, brown, green and gold. And on top of that, this thing sparkles!!! And it's a burst colour too! Though, not beginning from black.

How did you guys come up with a colour like this? What was the spraying process like?

Guys, there's one thing I forgot to mention. I don't know what the usual black pickguard is like, but you know, for this one, it's a 5 ply, but inbetween those black plys, are light BROWN plys!!!! Not white!

How's that for attention to detail????
