WOW! That was simply great, I'm not even sure I saw a pick in his hands...in any case, quite awesome playing! I'd never have the guts to try Beck.

LOL, I never played on that level 15 years ago. Never even dreamed of playing on that level.

Imo, Tristan brings the chops generation to new heights. Not only are his hands fast but his mind is at least as fast; timing is dead on. Curious what he’ll sound like in another 3-5 years. Or 10? I think as a player matures they hold more in reserve, growing beyond their technique. To me, Tris is a volcano: all that youth energy and power, always ready to explode, and the chops to keep up with it. Pretty freakin’ amazing cat.

This kid is going places and he is an excellent MM ambassador!
Just think, in the future we all can say, "I knew him before he was famous"
I wonder what a sig Tristan would be :)

After practicing/playing a little last night, I've come to the conclusion that my weakest part at my current level is my right hand(pick hand). I get confused a lot on the up-down thing, so much so that my hand slows and I'm constantly making mistakes with it. Not to say that my left hand is light years ahead, but my picking definitely needs work. Can anyone give me any advice/tips on the whole up-down pick stroking thing? Doesn't James Hetfield play all down strokes?
Yeah, someone mentioned that they couldn't see a Tristan using a pick in that clip.
I also noticed really fast players don't actually strike all of the notes or strings being played. This is too hard.

The worst part with Tristan is that he is not only a great player but also a very nice guy ...
It seems that MusicMan is the brand for Great and Humble players ...

I love his versions of Jeff Beck songs - I especially like it when I saw him play @cos we ended as lovers.

Tristan is awesome - and so humble when you correspond with him!!

Keep em coming Trist and lets see some more of the ol' Beckola playing please.
