Man, I just don't like gold anything! It's too bling bling for me! Now, BLACK HARDWARE will be the death of me if they put it on a JP...

I love gold hardware, and I think it's cool when the gold fades. I've got a Jem, and it's about 6 years old. I've gigged the **** out of it.. sweat and blood.. the whole deal. The faded gold looks kick ass and it's a sign that I'm not treating it like a piece of furniture.
It was really strange to hear BP talk about how gold hardware is not up to standards at the open house then it came out on the LE. I can only guess that the plating technique came up to standards. Proof is in the pudding (along with my face prints) that no one has mentioned anything about what might be considered less than favorable results with the hardware. (or maybe they just took it up with CS where it belongs.) I also have questions about gold because the piezo option was only available on the Pets. I think there might have been some limitations on the basses as well.
I really like the 08 LE color. I wonder, is the base color kinda a color shifting thing?

Maybe BP can answer this question, but it seems logical to me that BP found a vendor that could live up to EBMM's high standards. Ergo, gold hardware on the 08le. Yea!

I do hope that the piezo is available. Its my only concern. Other then that, I think this is going to be one smoking color combination.
