dont go there cause this isnt a evh thing but was found only on the evh, ever. i have never seen another guitar before or after the evh to have offset saddles, even evh's. what was the reason behind the great invention? i always thought it was to get to the saddle screw easier. maybe i am wrong but if that were the case i dont understand why noone has done it before or since.

bump. seriously no one knows why the addition of this? or why its never been done before or after by any company.

Was the offset to compensate for the lack of space on the high e side of the fretboard? May have also been the way that Gotoh made their trems then.

no they didnt as the mold was destroyed when evh left. it is the only time a locking trem has ever had them to my knowledge thus why its so interesting. your second part good be something though.

hmmmmmmm sorry bp just going by what the guitar world article said back then should have known. can you give us any insight as to what the idea behind the offset saddles were.
