Blue Dawn. Was at GC yesterday and there's a used BD Sterling.

Ooh. Sparkly.

The Bongo is going to look amazing in that finish.

This particular GC has what might be described as "mood lighting" in the bass section (read, it's pretty bloody dark). The edges are so dark blue they might as well be black, at least under that light.

So you're now fully convinced that it's a sparkle finish? :D

I've never seen one in person, but I'm looking forward to the NAMM pics when the LEs come out.

Blue Dawn is my favorite color.

I can't wait to get more. :D

Sidenote - the JP is the only one without black around the edges. Both the Albert Lee and the Axis Sport have it, and so does every other Blue Dawn guitar/bass that I've seen.

More blue is better!

Thanks Vic! Yes, the pickguards do take up a bit of the blue, which is why in '07 I'll be getting a Blue Dawn Silo Bass & Luke (and possibly a Morse). Of course, that's if I don't buy a ton of BFR F-1 Petrucci models.

I want a Blue Dawn Sterling 5.

(Darn it! I don't even have my Bongo yet and I'm already thinking bout that Sterling 5 again! )

So you bought it, right?

Sparkle indeed.

The thing about flash photography is it makes the sparkles look HUGE. In real life they're very very small. The actual finish has a much subtler sparkle effect than any of the photos posted so far. But it IS sparkle, no doubt about it.
