Looks like Tabacca is ahead.

There are two major (to me) things that are making me hesitate.

a) The poly neck. IMO NOTHING feels like a waxed MM neck that has been played to the point where the wood grain is filled in with uhh.. mojo. I'm not really that concerned about it because EBMM won't make it if it ain't good (the Bongo has a very fast yet finished neck after all) but still it's a point of consideration.

b) The published weight. I have some old battle wounds from my bicycle racing days that left me with weak shoulders (Damn I can only do 50 diamond push ups now:D). 11 pounds of admittedly beautiful Stingray 5 sounds... skeery.

Ah, this is such a sweet predicament to be in though!

I would be honored (although in a slightly uncomfortable way) if wanting a new EBMM bass can now and forever be referred to as having "sitonmybass syndrome."

You missed it...

sitonmybass syndrome - blatantly advertising on the forum your indecision over the potential selection process of a new bass for the purpose of shamelessly soliciting the opinions of forumites to draw superficial attention to the possibility that you might think about ordering a new bass that you could buy if Mrs. Sitonmybass will allow you to once you've saved up the money after you've bought a new house, at which time you and Mrs. will host a tea party for and share a three-way with the new bass during its unveiling at your current residence where all your other basses are that you and Mrs. Sitonmybass tirelessly grope and fondle.

never say never.. they sold a few of the ones with matching headstocks before christmas so a "dear sirs" letter with a cpl of benjamins included to the correct person over at eb might help ya out ;)

Tobacco with the birdseye neck is stunning, the others don't move me. Maybe I just don't dig the white pickup covers, though.
