Me, explaining to Chuck R how Randy Jackson had this outrageous Lamborghini Orange bass and how I ended up with something not quite the same but maybe even cooler.

Fantastic!! What bass does he play himself these days? I guess he's got loads of them but does he have a number 1?

I can just imagine him playing the bass part to Kid Charlemaine on that Reflex. How amazing to have a bass legend in your lounge (other than yourself of course!!:p:D

My Old Smoothie is a revelation - it's actually got quite a bassy, old school sound, more so than my Classic Ray - combination of alder body, pick up and EQ I think. I would imagine that would suit Mr Rainey quite well.

Very cool. Okay...now I have to break out the Steely Dan. :)

I'd love to play one of those old smoothie's one day. Though I'd surely want one in a 5-string.

"Smoothie" ?

Must be a new language. In Olde Speek any
ax is a smoothie if there's no narsty metalic
speed bumps marring the finger board :)
