Well there's nothing like a happy ending and this thread has a very happy ending for me!

Have just collected this beauty today after ernie1966 kindly sold it on to me.

Just want to publicly say many thanks to ernie for taking the time to send this on to me (and throwing in some EB shirts as well). A perfect transaction!

Clearly this is all just waffle without pictures so I will do my best to get some up in the next day or two.

And so the addiction continues........................:D

Oh yes. Mr Brown always wants his slice!

Approx £151 in total, most of which was VAT.

Ho hum!:D

So is that another Y2D ? or is it the time stretch nature of this thread that makes me think that.

And including that DD JP that I think you mentioned thats 5 JP's now ?

And I'm not ribbing I'm in keen support. I'm vicariously excited !!

You're single handedly making Sunbury a centre of rock excellence.

Keep up the sterling work Bungo.

...or indeed 'Sterling's' work! Ho ho ho... [Exit bad pun mode]

It's still only 3 JPs 'in da house' with no. 4, the Dargie Delight on order. The Y2D and Axis bring current Ball count to 5.

Sunbury has of course long been known as the prog-metal capital of South West London. I just like to feel I'm making my own small contribution by raising the local JP count!:D

Well this little story continues. 'Autumn Red' had it's first run out last night at a local gig.

Now this is a bit odd, but I used my Mystic Dream JP6 for the first set which was fine, then used this one for the second set. I could swear this one sounded better????

Then the bass player pointed out that it was probably just that I was out of tune for the last few songs of the first set! He's probably right too! (I know, that means I suck!)

Anyway, this one has a really nice smooth neck and looked great on stage apparently - Seriously sparkly!

Just want to thank ernie again for sending this one east to me. Top transaction!

No pics of the gig as far as I know, but I'll post if any pop up from friendly punters.:D

As my sig shows, i have a MD JP6 with piezo and a Black Sparkle non-piezo and they do sound distinctly different. The sparkle has a much darker tone to it which i tend to like more. I think the added chunk o'wood that they hack out for the piezo makes a noticeable tonal difference... but that's just me. I love them both.
