I've been working with 'challenging ' people all day so if this thread looks like it was written by a 3 year old - I apologise!

So I saw this,

I already had this

And this,

But I wanted the first pic, (the Guitar not BP - Sorry Poppa)

But I can't live without the 2nd and 3rd pic I thought I could but I can't, I don't have enough money to buy the first pic.

Help!

BP I know it's a long shot, but can I send you my BFR to have it fitted with humbuckers??? pretty please?

You could always have it done by a shop that knows what they're doing if you can't send it back to EBMM.

They're the only people I trust with my guitars, it's a bit like taking your kids to a body shop, I'd only ever take them to a hospital!

I agree. There are a couple of guys in Nashville I would totally trust to do that work, but it's hard to find people like that.

Smelly...Don't do it you know you'll kick yourself, and apart from anything else DIDN'T YOU PROMISE THAT DARGIE TO YOUR SON WHEN HE'S OLDER ?....(or was that somebody else) Shame on you for even considering going back on your word

well - how about pulling up the scratchplate of your Sub 1, and routing the center out for a humbucker - then you can have a triple hummer sub!

;)

Smelly, I'd step back from this for a monent, really what's the fuss over an Al with three humbuckers? I might get one if I see Mr. Lee playing one at all his gigs. Personally, I'm going strat-ize my Al with three Suhr v60's on a black scratchplate, and good old noisy innards like in a 57 strat.

But if ya can't live without one, may I suggest you find a banker that can give you a low interest personal loan.

Smelly, I completely understand where you are coming from man, you need to sell something to get something, always a tough decision man. I'm at the point that an AL HHH would be great, but I like very much what I have, so it makes it hard to decide if I wanna part with something.

Good luck with your decision man, tough one. Glenn |B)

Why not find an older, beaten AL and route it for HBs? Not rocket science. You might even be able to buy the new p'ups & switch assembly from EBMM. Else you can put in what you want.

You cold also do this to your BFR AL. You'd probably want to be more careful with the routing (and shield the cavity afterward), but this way you could just switch back & forth between the two p/gs with singles or HBs. Nobody would know what it looks like under the p/g.

Smelly, I feel your pain, GAS can be terrible, plus we have already had the conversation about the Dargie ( you must not depart with it, remember?:) )
Just be patient and maybe something good will happen to get the tri hum AL or sell the Sub and you other AL to get it, but step back and breathe, got a feeling the tri HUM AL will be around for a little while.
