Just finished a week of shows and have a few nights off before iam back playing.
I have started to use my fretless ray for a few songs in the set now and it's just so sweet. Really loving the contrast of the fretless 2 band ray and my 25th Hss.
I bough an ampeg B15 for the house and started to really dig the ampeg tone again, don't get me wrong I love my mark bass rig but just wanted to colour it a bit. So I started to use my vt bass pedal and have had such a stupid grin on my face all week !

So Is either a ray or my 25th into the vt bass and a mb 4x10 with a LMT 500. Well it's making my gigs more fun for me :)

Now I just wish I could sleep !! Always the same on nights off :)

Ahhh, awake at night, asleep during the day!!

Yeah, Ampeg vs. other amps - it's like rocket fuel compared to gasoline. Now, all you need is a Stealth Bongo and you can fight terrorists while you gig!

I love gigging :)

Yeah, ...me too, ...especially when got a good contract with 4 numbers! :D

Anyway, I switched recently to 115 rig too, fits better with my reflex and I hope it will fit well with Sterling too (we'll see about that this weekend)! ;)

Have a nice sleep! :)

I use it on call me all, proud Mary and a few first dance tunes like -feels like home ( from the notebook movie)
It's got amazing tone, but I play 5 string moat of the time so a fretless 5 string is next me thinks !!

Why is it that we start talking like pirates on these forums? I'm sure most of us have never uttered the words, "Me Thinks," ever in a sentence during normal conversation. Just an observation... :)

Never would have put it together with pirates and yes I would often use it when joking around. Now I am off to walk the plank

This is quite a regular use of olde English over here JLepre, although I notice it is considered by messrs Microsoft to be an error grammatically ;)

Anyway, shiver me timbers DTG, you're playing Call Me Al in public, and on a fretless - you're a braver man than I, and certainly a technically proficient one. Well done.

This would not be possible for me even after a session of yo ho ho and a bottle of rum, me thinks :p :D

Argh me blighter I never said I was playing it well !! But after the bottle of rum nobody ever seems to care, so it shiver me timbers and keep on playin
Two of the best tips I got were
1 play beside a piano and check each note is in perfect tune ( takes a while but really helps when your ears get tired)
2) learn one song from your set at a time, practice the heck out of it

Seem to be working so far !!

I forgot you're from Ireland...maybe you guys DO talk that way come to think of it... :)

I think drT got it right it is more of an olde English thing, I also use alot of Dublin slang therms which are mostly taken from cockney rhyming slang.
I do also speak fluent leprechaun and learned river dance in me sleep :)
I really must teach jack at the next ebmm party !!
