I think my Sterling's battery box might be broken. If it is broken, it's been that way since I bought it.

I think it extends out too far. It's not really affecting anything right now. If I'm plugged in with the volume up and I take out the box (with the battery still in) it will make a sound though.

Anyway, could someone post a picture of their battery box fully open? Should their be a sound made when you open the box if you're plugged in?

Of course you're gonna hear a sound when opening the battery box, that's the source of power for the preamp.
