i just recently took up guitar a few months back and i was wondering if it was ummmm natural or whatever for my lower E string to break while i'm palm muting...i don't know i've gone through a couple of them in the last few months and they seem to be breaking at the back where you pull em through to string them well i just wanted to know later

For me, breaking a lower E while palm muting (including several times) is something that needs to be looked at. I have never busted one palm muting....I did break one trying to bend it around the neck once.....but that is another story.....anyway, you said it is breaking at the same place in the back. I would check to see if there is a burr on your bridge somewhere that is causing the break. If you can't feel it, take it to a tech to have them look at it and explain to them what is happening...but make sure you tell them it breaks in the same spot because that is definitely a sign....hope this helps.
