Well done, Beej!

If Dudley is inspired by your work, and decides he wants to find a way to make a piezo-equipped Floyd Rose Y2D, he can feel free to experiment with the one I have on order.. ;)

Wow! Great! Hear that, Dudley?

I'm serious, though.. if Dudley wanted to use my Y2D as a guinea pig, that'd be fine with me! :)

That's the number of saddles on the morse.
If steve doesent want that on his guitar I bet it won't happen.

OH OH OH! MM Floyd saddles are not like your standard Floyd saddles! I don't know if they will work right or not.

Crud! I only have 22 pup config options with G22222.

Hey beej,
Nice work, very clean. You gonna modify the Y2D too?!?!?!

Thanks Fred! Yeesh ... that's a tough one. Much easier to work on stuff that's already beaten up (why I love buying used guitars).

Seriously, I'll probably put in a coil-split or q-filter, but odds are I'll wait until I've put a dent in it or something ...

What I'd really like to do is get it autographed by BP and Dudley before it leaves the factory ... I wonder if that's an option?

I know this is an old thread and
I hope
I'm not asking for something that I missed, but are there any videos or sound clips of your guitar after this Beej?

This is an old thread indeed, yet I hope someone can answer my questions:

I'd like to add piezo's to my Steve Morse model as well, but I have the Floyd Rose version. Anyone have experience with replacing this type of bridge by a piezo-equipped one (e.g. Graphtech Ghost)?

And: in this thread no special attention is paid to the placement of the pre-amp for the piezo's. Does the pre-amp fit into the existing body cavities? Or was it placed outside the body?

PS.: I also own an Axis Sport with piezo's, love them. That's why I want to have them on my Morse as well. I do use a separate (full-range) amp for the piezo's. When playing them over a standard guitar amp you won't get the most out of their specific sound.

Hey- yes, the preamp fit into the cavity.

It gets tight in there, but there's enough room below the pickguard for everything.

I probably saw this thread when it was created, but it is completely blowing my mind now. I’d die to have a piezo on my Cutlass, but I can’t imagine taking a router to it. You are a legend!
