Never EMGs....unless on a Luke...I would not deliberately install them...too sterile for my general taste...

EMGs aren't chrome covered that I'm aware of...

Cool. Which bridge p'up do you like the best?

Generally the TZ of late...but the Air Zone is pretty sweet...as is the Virtual PAF in my Silo...I have a pretty good base for different sounds here...I also like alternate tunings...hehe.

I say we all send OC $25 so he can get to SLO.

But I'm not doing it unless everyone else does.

If I wanna blow $25, I'll buy 1/2 a tank of gas.

Wow, the Mysty Pet looks really nice with the pup covers!
Here's a dumb question, how do the covers affect the sound?
I imagine it to be a bit brighter.

Pickup covers dull the sound (if they're metal and not plastic). They induce eddy currents which interfere with the induced current in the pickup. Same thing happens with a pickup that isn't wound properly. Taking them off will brighten up the sound.

You're Silo is so sweet!! When I will be buying an EBMM it will be exactly the same Silo but with non-matching headstock. I'll put a note in my signature that your axe inspired my purchase :D:D

Warmer rounder tone actually...it also helps that the pups are more vintagey...

I got a silo special in pearl blue with a black pealriod pickguard, think forgman has a pic of me with is somewhere and I put a duncan distortion trembucker in the bridge, the guitar sounds excellent for heavy music now, I also changed out the vintage saddles to the axis saddles and now the guitar rulez, but I want to get a 24 fret silo and was actually looking into that color with the matching headstock, its a beautiful guitar - russ
