I feel SUPER lucky. I just scored an 8.0 lb Stingray 5 in Egyptian Smoke with a rosewood board and a black pearloid PG.

I couldn't be happier! I have been a longtime musicman player and have an 8.0 lb Stingray 4 from 1991 that kills.......but this 5 is flat amazing. Best Stingray I've ever touched!! I love my others.....but I have a sneaky feeling this one is about to take over!

I'll post pics as soon as I figure out how!

Congratulations, that's really light! You'll be able to rock that all night long.

I see what you did there, Syciprider...love me some acronyms!

8lb. Stingray 5 string, sounds like it will be neck heavy.

My '88 SR5 weighs 9.2 lbs, it's the lightest one I've personally come across. Good to know there are a few more out there, I wouldn't mind picking up another.

I must be the odd one.
Just weighed the '77 'Ray and it's 11.4 lbs.
But I like it, it's comfortable, and there's no neck dive.
