You're going to have to route out the body to lower a pup. Raising it is easier since you're not disrupting anything and washers can be used for this....by routing will cause you to remove some of the body wood.

I suppose you could shim the neck, but that is probably about the same hassle as routing! Mind you 100% reversible though.
