I've always been intrigued by the Dual H''s :D But even more so by the new switching system. So my hands are tied here!

I played the dual H Sterling and was blown away with the switching and the tones but the damn Bongo..... it in itself is like being in a secret club , especially when the public sees them live.........

oh well, we'll see where the poll gets to tomorrow :)

I certainly will not be naysaying the dual pup choices, but there is just something magical in the single pup models.

After playing the Dual H Stingray last weekend, I had to vote for the HH Sterling. As far as all of this talk about single vs. dual, it seems to me that you have the single H available in the dual pickup models but you have more options. The only reason I can thing of to opt for the single H is if you want a piezo.

But the pickup placement on the single H models is different, yes? So there will be some difference in tone...though with no direct experience, I have no idea what or how much that might be.

Not on the HH and HS Sterlings/StingRays. The bridge pickup is in the same place as the single H models. You are probably thinking about the Bongo pickup placement.

*ping*

well, it's settled. this afternoon a die-hard MM user came into the store and as it happened, my Bongos were with me to be ready to zip to a gig afterwards. after showing the aforementioned pre-EB StingRay owner and 'die-hard' the Bongos with him saying things like "what is that!??" "this plays great!!" and "who set up this fretless!!!!!!???" [thank you Jon!]
I've settled on the fact that my next EBMM will involve a single H Bongo of some sort. It's just too much of a blast wiggin' people out with these basses!

....and I'll not touch the 3 band eq!

so BP...... ya got a rosewood neck for a 4 string Bongo kickin' around the shop ????

Can't go wrong with the single H (just got back from a gig where it was the center of attention) - I love it more and more each time I play it!
