I modded my Soldano SLO-100! I was looking to do something a bit "out there" with my amp to visually compliment my guitars and LEDs were the answer I was looking for.
I performed some minorly invasive surgery on the Soldano, replacing the footswitch jack with a TRS setup, and taking power from a 6V source inside the chassis. I had to rewire the footswitch with a DPDT switch and TRS jack, and now the guts of the amp light up when I switch to the overdrive channel.
There is a total of 12 LEDs, with 3 behind each power tube. Of course I chose blue LEDs to go with my Blue Dawn obsession.

Here's a pic with the first 4 LEDs installed, the vid has all of them hooked up.
And a BIG thanks goes out to beej for the electronic tips!
