Get the DD2 now. You can always get another for the 10th. Worst case....you sell your least favorite and pick up whatever comes out as a special......

I agree with Jack get the DD2 cause the 10 year anny model is still over a year away IF they even do one. (they have yet to do one for Albert or Luke) Consider this too, say they announce it at NAMM 2011 then you should have till October/November 2011 to order it. So don't hold off for what "might" be when you can get something you want now...

Sometimes I think about buying a guitar like a computer, or other piece of technology... If there is something available that meets my needs now, I usually will go for it...

There will always be something newer/different to wait for and if you never jump in you'll just keep waiting forever.

I say there are a lot of great options out there now. Who knows, if you wait for a 10th anniversary, it might never come, or there could be a new JP model on the horizon, or there could be a DD3, who knows... Anything could happen.

Long story short, if you need it now, and there is an available product to meet your needs, go for it!

you should get it now because the end of the world is in 2012! :D;)
this way gives you more time to play it.

If I were you, I'd get a Koa JP

This is where things are getting rough.

Dargies are limited and rare (not to mention an utterly sick paint job)

But KOA may not be readily available as a guitar wood for a long time.

Not to mention that its, what I feel, to be the paragon of the JP's and BFR's.

In my opinion the natural 'looks' of koa just work very well with me... Of Course The Dargie has it's beauty but in a totally different perspective - aesthetically and sonically.

Why wait? Resale value is strong... Tomorrow is not guaranteed. Live today. 6 months from now you'll be talking about number 4.

That is all :p

Well said ... there is always cool stuff around the next corner. If you wait to take advantage of the latest EBMM innovation ... well you'll be waiting forever.
