I was checking out the "southpaw attic" and seen a picture of a lefty Bongo 5, a grey one (or a fancy variation there of) from the NAMM show. BP can that one be bought? I haven’t even got my 4 banger yet, but I know I’m going to want a 5 string… you know I want it… can it be mine???

I don't have the real answer to this question, but I can give you the benefit of my experience.....let's just put it this way.

You can order one just like it. Contact your local retailer - or ME, for that matter, now that I think about it.

NAMM basses are hard to come by, that's all I'm saying.

Someone had asked in an earlier thread(around NAMM) if any of those basses were available for sale. The answer was NO, because they were very early models and that all the kinks hadn't been worked out yet. I'm not sure if that includes the lefty Bongo but I would say that chances are the answer would still be no.

Fair enough Jack, I appreciate it.

But as we all know a left handed anything are mostly useless and frowned upon by the mass population. I was just offering to take that 5 string off of EBMM hands, so it wouldn’t clutter up things and be in the way. I just thought I could give it a home where it would be dusted regularly and of course never abuse it by posing naked with it.

I would just hate to see it used for a door stop or boat oar.

If it can’t be had I will buy my next bass from you and that’s a promise (all joking aside!)
