Saw this clip of Ian Thornley (Canadian artist) playing at a recent clinic ... really rips it up!

Big fan of his playing. Used to be in the band Big Wreck ... has some killer tunes. Nice to see him playing a Morse :)

I really dig Ian's work. Big Wreck was great and his solo work is great too.

What a talent ... a killer singer and can also rip it up. Love to see him play an EBMM more often.

Buddy of mine went to high school with him, seems like a really nice guy. Have a couple of good party stories ... best saved for a beer or three :)

In 1998, I saw Big Wreck open for Dream Theater at the L.A. House of Blues. I thought they were pretty good.

His MySpace- Thornley on MySpace

For Big Wreck, check out YouTube. Popular hits were "That Song", "The Oaf", "Blown Wide Open". Killer stuff ... I still have that disc ("In Loving Memory Of") in heavy rotation.

Also a couple of tunes on the Trailer Park Boys soundtrack with some other notable Canucks (Alex Lifeson, Geddy Lee, etc.) - The Big Dirty Band on MySpace

How does the new morse compare to the old , i prefere the look of the new but does it sound better or just different ?

Buy one of each. I like them both. Subtle differences. If I could only buy one, I think you can "get" up to speed with the switching on the y2d faster, but the original is not that hard to comprehend either.
