Saw Ian Thornley last night in Cambridge - playing for a room full of gearheads. He played mainly JP's, also a SM std that appears to be set up for slide work. He really praised the EB brand, is also diggin the Cobalts. I was lucky enough to win a set myself, so I'll test em out at gig in Toronto I have in couple weeks.
If you haven't heard Ian play, he can really rip, but does so inbetween really melodic, 'heavy' sounding notes. Alternate picking was flawless. I don't if anyone else was there (although I did meet Glen)...
