I posted up a while back that I had been offered a job in Perth, Western Australia.

Well, today I received notification that my visa application had been successful. All being well I should be out there by mid-September.

fidooda: There is a lot of paperwork and incidentals. Cost me about £1000 in total, including professional organisation subscriptions. I have a job to go to which makes it easier. My new employer advertised the job through a migration agent, who were excellent and handled all the paperwork.

Dead easy if you are in an occupation on the "skills wanted" list. For example, if you are an electrician or diesel mechanic you're laughing. There is a full list of applicable occupations on the Dept of Immigration website.
