Had a great gig last night - private party at a local Rugby Club. Only about 80 people expected but there were at least 300. (Mr & Mrs OlPlayer were there too!)

In the main the gig went well. Wish I had taken a bigger amp with me though! - I had taken my small Blues Junior with me and the crowd just "sucked up" the amp. I was running almost maxed out and I wish I'd taken my Mesa with me.

Anyway I had another signal problem. Despite going through all my leads the previous day - one did break down on me causing a "technical hitch". I didn't even bother looking at it as it is built like a tank - turned out to be built like a "fish tank"... my bad!!!

So I've just emerged from my garage after another soldering/cleaning session and my mind was going off at tangents about leads.
Now just to put people in the picture I run a stereo lead out of my Piezo pre amp on my Albert Lee into a 6165 pedal -run the piezo into an AER (also a line out from the AER into the PA) and I ran my mags into my Blues Junior.
So about my idea? It would be great to have a MM lead that had a molded plug with 2 jack plugs. The molded plug would be a perfect fit for the Piezo pre amp. One single stereo cable would run from the molded plug and terminate in a female molded plug so you could run two separate leads.
In conclusion - an EB MM specific molded plug that would perfectly fit the piezo pre amp.

I guess that the downside to this is that it would not be economically feasible for EB to do this as it would be a limited market - but hey I'm just kinda thinking out loud and posting my thoughts on the forum.

I'd better sort things out for next Saturdays gig (Butchers Arms, Rhiwbina, Cardiff.) :)

Many thanks G'fiddle - I'm enjoying playing live again - just a covers band - but hey I'm a bit long in the tooth to persue a life of rockstardom.
I used my BCB Albert and my hardtail for alternate tunings - even threw in a REM number without rehearsing it as a band = keeps you on yer toes.

The great thing was having an old buddy of mine guesting on drums for a couple of numbers. He hasn't played for 2 years and after the numbers he showed me the callouses on his fingers - man he is a very good drummer and I'm gonna try and talk him into coming out of retirement.

Glad you liked the idea of the lead - man it gets embarrassing when you get a glitch with the leads.

My wallet won't stretch to wireless- . Never used wireless before either.- don't really trust it ha!

My preference is to use a lead - at the mo I'm using a stereo lead but I was really thinking about a molded plug - 2 jack plugs- one lead and jobs a good 'un.

Spud,

I've got an old MM piezo splitter box if it's any use to you.
You come out of the guitars stereo socket with a stereo cable, into the splitter box and then out with 2 mono cables, 1 into you rig and the other into the pa or dedicated acoustic amp.

I haven't got a piezo guitar any more so it's sitting in the bottom of my cable bag.

There was a tiny bit of bleed so I wouldn't record with it but you wouldn't notice at gig volume.

Ming me old china - I'd love it - I do split with a stereo pedal - but I have been having problems lately (not necessarily with the pedal) - but a splitter would be interesting to try.

Try CPC. They stock stereo jack to socket, jack to jack, socket to 2 x mono jack and jack to 2 x mono (also known as TRS, or insert leads). Basically, pretty much any combination you can think of.

I've used them loads, only good things to report.
