Hi, I've been offered a pair of pickups which I'm told are musicman dimarzio axis pickups. I'm not sure though. There are no stickers
on the baseplate and nothing is stamped on the baseplate. Also the wires are red white black and blue rather than green. Other than that they look the part. Any thoughts!
Thanks

The colours are wrong- should be standard Dimarzio colours (Red, Back, White, Green), unless somebody replaced/extended the leads.

If you have pics of them we can and try to help. Else you can Google some images to see what they look like.

The new ones seem to be identified with with a sticker on the back coded N2 and B1 respectively (among other things) and the bridge has the F stamped on it.

Dimarzio has confirmed my assumption, from 2010 stickers placed on the back of the pickup took the place of the stamping...

Thanks for the help guys, dimarzio confirmed that without the stamped baseplate and the red, white, black, green wiring they weren't genuine.
