I'd ask him about the American drawing his inspiration from the english scene...Id ask him if he could pick a musical scene or era to be placed in which would it be

I'd ask him about songwriting. How does it happen for him? Does he he hear the melody in his head? Does he noodle til he finds a riff? What's the magic for him?

The 'English' scene is a really interesting thing.

It's weird, because a lot of the influential British bands who've had their vibe passed on, had taken their initial inspirations from American rock n' roll and blues.

One of the great things about music, is the ability it has to cross borders effortlessly.

That's a great question. i see many reviews and reports on Joe B saying he's influenced by SRV etc etc, mainly implying that he's American blues influenced, but Joe himself has said his greatest influences were the british blues era... Cream, especially, I think. not sure if Peter Frampton and David Gilmour played a part in his influences, but I do hear a lot of Eric Johnson in his playing, tonewise, and phrasing-wise.

Guys this is funny on ly a few have given colin questions and some have just answered the questions posted. Here is your chance to ask a question via colin

To be honest I thought Colin had just raised this as a means of discussion.
So he will be interviewing Joe?

If that's the case -
You were initially reluctant to sing on stage/record however your singing is very good.
What changed your mind?

Do you consider Jeff Beck as one of your influences from the British scene?

Is the way you sing in any way natural, or is it the way you consider a white blues singer ought to sing?

I also thought it hypothetical.

How did he pick his current touring band lineup?

guys the request has been made to interview Joe but experience tells me not to be presumptuous until after the fact. So if it comes off your questions will be asked from BP down. I did speak to Joe at NAMM and he seemed fine with doing some press so if things go right you guys will be first to hear it. I have my question ready what's yours?

I would ask Mr. Bonamossa if his big ears included listening to Robin Trower when he was forming his style- but not so much for guitar. His voice resembles the late great bassist/vocalist James Dewar, who played and sang on the terrific Trower albums in the seventies. Unfortunately he passed on a few years ago but left a great legacy. It isn't fair what a great guitarist AND singer Joe is though.
