My other option would be a 20th Anniversary Silhouette. I wouldn't mind one of those with a rosewood fretboard and trem.

Thanks for all the insight. Keep them coming. Love to hear what everyone thinks.

If I had to own just one EBMM, it would be my Y2D. It's the only one that has displaced my older (and much beloved) Les Pauls, mainly due to the Tune-O-Matic bridge and the stock neck pup. The extra single coil adds a level of versatility, and the neck is more comfy than the smaller Axis in my hands. It's amazing doing a 3-set night, and having one guitar cover everything, and I play music that is a little different from Mr. Morse. Think more Steve Cropper than Steve Morse. :) And I just got done rehearsing up an Elton John tribute act, so I guess it does Davey Johnstone, too.

I suppose a Silo in an H-S-H configuration would cover a lot of sonic ground, too, but that Purple Sunset is so damn sexy.

I'm glad you didn't like your Reflex that much, because it allowed me to buy it off of you. I absolutely love it. Thanks

If you don't like single coils, then the amount of sonic ground you're trying to cover is significantly less.

Get a JP6.

I have a 25th, which is slightly better than AMAZING. I will say that it's a classy axe, and sometimes I feel like I should baby it instead of tearing into it.....which is why I'm looking for a Black Axis to be my "dark" side.

Tony I'm biased :) the Reflex is the guitar period. 20 days on from buying one and its still not been back in its case. Reflex the GAS remover and quite possibly the guitar worlds best kept secret. I told you I was biased.

Nothing against the Reflex of course I have not personally played one though I really want to. But if I could have only one it would be this one:

Carbon Blue Pearl is such a cool color. I miss that color. The Silo Special is a great guitar, and with some mods, could be a good option. But, I'm looking for a guitar that has what I'm looking for right off the bat.

Keep it coming.

Slight bump with another question about the Reflex/25th anniversary guitar. How does it handle high gain? I play a wide variety of stuff, but I'm concerned about the chambering making the guitar sound muddy when I get into heavier stuff. My only source for info has been YouTube vids.

The Luke III HH model has added a layer of difficulty to my selection. It may be between the Luke and the Reflex for my "one and done" scenario.
