Hi folks, it's been a time since i posted a thread!!!

so i need your lights !!!
i work actually for project called "crossing fates".
this project is based on progressive music and consists of realeasing an album before the end of the year!!! it will be my first!!!!!:D:D

so , it's based with the idea of making music by two persons:
a friend named Marc devidal on keyboards and drums programming
and me (your french servitor) on bass, lead vocals and guitars...

but before realeasing the album, we decided to realease a single including
1-the track that we think it's the most impressive of the album..
2-a short version of 2nd track of the album
3- and a classic cover of prog rock in 70's

so we need your help in giving us some propositions in a prock rock 70's song that we could cover.;)

the myspace site will be opened soon...;)
and you will be informed of the progress of the album;)

The one I have in mind is not from the 70s, but it is really nice. There was an obscure Swedish band from the 90s called Änglagård; the first track of their album Hybris is called Jordrök and is really a masterpiece. I has not been covered as far as I know.

Good luck with your project!

70's prog rock cover ? hummmmmmm there is a lot here you can do it depends on your taste and technical skills

Pink Floyd? Genesis? Yes? Saga? Kind Crimson? Rush? Jethro Tull?

The first progressive concept song ever is the Abbey road suite but transatlantic already covered it

Many too many (Genesis) is a simple song that I absolutely love

David my friend, have to agree with threeminutesboy, so much to choose from hard to narow it down, kinda like browndogs suggestion take 2112 down to 6 minutes or do a pink floyd Shine on you Crazy Diamonds Pt 1&2 down to 6 minutes.

Whatever you do I am betting it is good!!

Was never a big fan of prog rock and never realized that the Moody Blues are really considered one though they have always been a special band for me. A ton of great songs in their catalog.
