Just curious fellow forumites.

If you walked into a music shop, which EBMM guitars would you love to see hanging from the wall? What would make your jaw drop?

Look forward to reading your views.

Best wishes

Any of the BFR line. Each one is unique and pleasant on the eyes. Also, the 25th and Big Al would be a cool site to see as well.

A wall of Albert Lees would make me drop to my knees.

Cool. I'm a poet and I didn't even know it.

I have yet to see in a store anything w/ MM-90s, BFR Luke, Standard Morse, Silhouette Bass and Silo Spec w/ SSS. Luckily I got to try all of these out at NAMM. ;)

A wall of Dargie Delight...that would be sick.

But seriously, it would be nice to have a shop that carries EBMM around here. We have GC, but you never know if you're getting the guitar straight out of the box with them. Plus, I like supporting smaller dealers. They usually have a passion for the instruments they sell (Pete).

My answer: 25th Anniversary Guitar (mine is coming soon…)

Actually… here’s a story from this weekend that made my jaw drop:

So I’m at a local GC buying a new strap and a capo. As I walk up to pay, something behind the counter on a guitar stand catches my eye and awes me. The cashier notices that I’m eyeballing the olive green bass guitar. He proudly says to me, “I’m about to try it out.” I promptly ask him how much they’re selling it for. He tells me, “It’ll probably go for about $1600.”

#$%^$^@!!!

I was about ready to backhand this guy. He obviously didn’t know what he had behind the counter!

Because I have ‘Balls’, I promptly but politely proceeded to point out to him that:

(1) That little silver thingy on the 12th fret designates that it’s a Ball Family Reserve and no ordinary Stringray
(2) It has a mahogany tone block
(3) That ‘brown’ neck and headstock is ‘rosewood’
(4) That’s 5 strings you see, not 4
(5) That’s thing’s got 2 pickups – a humbucker AND a single in the neck.

Thereafter, he replied to me, “Oh… I didn’t know that.”

I should have taken a picture! It was an absolutely beautiful bass. I know someone is very proud owner of a new BFR Stringray.

The Ernie Ball Music Man roadshow rolled into Glasgow last year with The Devil in tow.

The guys brought various Morse, Petrucci and Luke models with them.

The Trans Black BFR Petrucci was just stunning. This was a guitar i'd seen the very man who's name adorned its headstock play live only 20-30 feet away a few months back. What a moment to run the hand over the neck, settle the contoured body against the ribcage, and pick with utmost respect.

Honestly, what a stunning musical instrument.

Examples across the range, that's what i'd like to see.

Having seen the Tokyo stores, the only thing that made me drop my jaw then was the Mr Horsepower in Gakki Center.

If I saw that, or the global warming Silhouette, or any of the artist linked BFRs (Like the Joe B double neck), I'd be jaw hunting again...:D

Nothing much else though...

Unless it's a Koa Silo Spec... or Silo Spec BFR... Heh...
