Definitely like your thinking on the Axis Super Sport:D
especially chambered body with maple or spruce cap - yummy!
+1 for good taste

TBH what I was thinking of would be sort of an EBMM take on a guitar in the G&L Bluesboy Semi-hollow or Reverend Hitman (or the newer Buckshot) vein. I love the tones out of those guitars, but I'm sure the EBMM could edge those guys out in craftsmanship. :)

+1 for your ideas and props to the other guys (I still own some non-Balls):D

What would your signature guitar be like? I hope this isn't breaking any rules, but I think it would be VERY interesting to hear what some of you imagine as the perfect axe

Y2D with a Wilkinson / MusicMan tremolo. :D

Or, if I was really rich and famous, this: :D

#1

- Morse shape
- mahogany
- maple neck / rosewood board
- 22 frets
- Wilkinson / Floyd Rose tremolo
- dual humbuckers (have no clue which ones :D)
- 3-way switch
- 2 volume pots and 2 tone pots

#2

- Morse shape
- alder
- maple neck & fretboard
- 22 frets
- Wilkinson tremolo
- HSS
- 5-way switch
- 1 volume pots and 1 tone pot

I've been thinking about this a lot lately, this is what I've come up with:

Shape: Strat
Body: Basswood back with Quilt Maple top
Neck and fingerboard: Figured Maple
Scale: 25 1/2"
Radius: 12"
Construction: Bolt-on
Frets: 24
Bridge: Floyd Rose Original
Pickups: DiMarzio D-Sonic in the bridge position, and DiMarzio Evolution Neck in the neck position
Pickup Switch: 3 way (middle position triggers two center coils)
Controls: Master Volume (no tone control)
Color: Basswood back would be in solid black color and Quilt Maple top would be in transparent dark red
