So I bought this Bongo CAR 5HSp off Ebay, and got it about a week ago....
It's such an amazing bass!
The best thing about it is, I like the sound of the bass with the knobs in center positions the most (perhaps with a slight piezo rolloff).
I have a CAR 5HH too, (in the "for sale" thread.....), and I wasn't completely happy with it.
I've experienced extensively with different strings, which almost made me go nuts, as well as eq settings.
And then this little sucker comes in the door with regular Slinkys on it, and just sounds like I've dreamed about.
So it's a win-win situation for me:
No eq fiddling or obsessive string experiments: Just plug and play with great, affordable stock strings.
I'm relieved of a terrible burden!!
