today i got to test a 12inch combo from mb, and my golly that thing has balls!

even the lone 12" made things rattle in the store.. and that compact, focused lowmid range.. oooohhweee!!
id like to see a band manage to camouflage that one!!! :D

compared to the f1 i found the filters a bit "softer", as if you need to turn the knob more to get the same effect. cant say for sure though because i couldnt compare them 1 on 1 and memory is, as we all know, a friend that might figure lying to ya is the best solution ;)

i LOVE markbass!

Nice! I am pretty happy with my markbass rig too. Pairs so well with MM bass.

Can you explain more about what you mean about the filters being a bit softer than the F1. Do you mean the VLE and VPF controls? Did this combo say Combo Head II on it? (which to my understanding is the Little Mark III head).

it was the version with littlemark2 amp in it, and the filters are the vle and the vpf..
i suspect that the filters work the same, just the difference in cabinets used gives me the impression that they are different.
i tested the f1 with the ampeg 410hlf cabinet which moves more air and also had a horn instead of a piezo tweeter... but since i cant put them side by side and compare i really cant tell, only try to remember.
doesnt really matter because both the f1 and the combo were great! :)

There is already an excellent review of it on the MarkBass website and to be honest with you bacon, I couldn't add anymore to what has already been written, the only thing I can say is that when I was fiddling with the setting I found this "constipated duck" squashed funky sound that had me in stitches laughing my arse off for a good 20 minutes! It was funny as @#%&! :D

Here is the script from that review http://www.markbass.it/risorse/allegato_pro.php?id=152

I am trying to decide between Markbass CMD121P LM3 Combo and the AER Amp One. I haven't had the opportunity yet to hear a Markbass Combo in person. Their amps are great, but sadly i don't know yet about their cabs.

The AER was by far the cleanest sounding bass rig i ever heard.

I love Markbass amps. I have to admit, I am a tube kinda guy, but I think thats why Markbass works, because its a very nice warm, yet very fast and articulate tone.

EB basses just WORK with Markbass so well.

I found Genz to be sterile...I tried the Shuttle 9.0 and it wasnt for me.
