It's a beast.

Okay, I havn't played one yet, but the looks and from what I can gather, the SOUND are fantastic.

I am debating whether itis worth having one as my only bass.

But that would mean...

I'm dying to get my hands on one as well. I know I could get by easily with it as my only bass ...but why? :D

I tried one and can answer that for myself with a firm "no". To me, it's too "specialised" in having sounds different to what I like from my HH 'Rays. The 25th on the other hand... was the one I took home from the shop :D

Ha, yeah it's a money thing.

I love the sounds made by the Rays and the other models...but this is something great that still sounds Music Man.

Good choice!!!

Welcome to the fold :)

Hey Duarte,
I would try to add the Big-AL to the collection because try as you may you will find yourself missing the others if you sell any of them. It is just the way it is. The Big-AL sounds awesome but it is still not a Stingray or Bongo. I know about the money thing. I am trying to get some for a Bongo 4HS Stealth Fretless with Ebony fretboard.

...to do the dirty work and get one instead of hollidays?

Yes, do it. The Big Al is a beast and it kills!

(With the neck and bridge pickup together in actice mode, you can even make it sound a little like an alembic...)

I could make it my only bass. Beauty and brawn, all in one package.
