OK, just an attention getter.

A few weeks ago I bought my first EBMM. It is a Stingray 5 HH brand new vintage sunburst (pictures on another thread).

Coming from a Fender 4 string P Bass I was relatively comfortable as a newer player (1year) and was concerned about adding the 5th string, a low B.

I cannot seem to put that thing down. I don't want to go to work, I play it every morning when I first wake up and every night. The other day I sat back on the couch playing and I fell asleep. Although I rarely need the 5th string, it is nice to have it there and I am very comfortable with it now. Those 5 extra notes do come in handy depending on what genre I am trying to play.

I love this thing. What versatility, feel, sound and quality.

I am glad that I bought this fantastic piece of workmanship.

I think the Fender P is getting jealous. When I pick up the 4 string I feel like I can fly all over it after weeks of getting familiar with the 5th.

Oh yeah. I finally took the protective film off of the pick guard and it is even more beautiful than I originally thought.

Thanks Music Man

There's a reasonably cool coiuntry rune about "What a beautiful mess I'm in", but I think it's more about a woman, but an SR5 is righteous close to real lady love! in my books:)

Good Luck and enjoy many years of god health and playing your SR5 and with best wishes I hope you don't get hit with any bad luck to stop your enjoyment!:)

It's not only those extra low notes.

for instance. You don't have to reach down for that low F or G on the E string when you're playing up high. Just use the F/G on that fat B string!

And hey. It's a MMEB bass!

The SR5 HH is the real deal :D It is the one I always go back to. There are so many sound variations you can get out of it. If you've heard it before, you can get it out of the SR5 HH. But some tones you can't find anyplace else ;)

It's a common occurance, nothing to worry about really. Once dudes start playing their Balls, nothing else really seems to matter anymore.
