Our TV ad started running for my little "Country Buffet" gig, even though I haven't seen it, a lot of my friends have. I was playing my BUTTERCREAM SR4 the night they filmed it and I knew the camera man from wayyy back. I told him to be sure he got a good shot of my bass, (not me but the bass) and appearently he must have. I've had calls and several people have come up to me at the local jams commenting on how cool my "WHITE" bass looked!

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! IT'S BUTTERCREAM!!!

IT'S BUTTERCREAM, NOT WHIIIIIIITE!!!

The fools, anybody can have a white bass! But Buttercream is wayyyyy cooler, cost more and you can't get Buttercream anymore.... DAMN IT!

Sorry I just had to vent, I KNOW you guys understand...

Whew, I over amped last night. Sorry for that outburst!

Later at the jam I pulled out the Burrercream SR4 and the guy that turned me on to EBMM basses called it yellow... I give up.

At least we here are hip to Buttercream, plus that SR4 sounds soooo good, the color don't matter,... till I hang her on the wall, then it LOOKS beautiful, work of art really. :D

I haven't seen BC in person. Would it be sort of like my Fender MusicMaster that was white 30 years ago and has never been refin'd?

I think it's a lot like (if not the same as) the newer Mini-Coopers of the same shade.

My Mini was BRG, except for the "windscreen" which was a semi-tinted "au naturale" with a fine patina of misted engine oil. So were all the others. I never thought they came in any other finish.

They're a rarity to see, for sure. But, every bit as cool-looking as the BC EB's!

Something like that. My '76 in the photo above was Olympic White 30 years ago and has never been refin'ed.

Given the attire I have seen you in with your bass. They figured it was white and you had an accident that yellowed the color a bit. They were cutting you some slack ;)
