It's true, I currently own a Bongo and StingRay and that's it.

It feels great, although there is an empty space on the wall above my bed (yes my basses hang above my bed - it's kind of scary) which used to have a fender P bass. That bass was sold to fund an Access Virus and some Moog stuff, I think I did the right thing!

I just thought I would share the fact that I'm now a 100% convert.

IMO my playing got better once I consolidated to an all EBMM harem. Sure the Bongos' 24 frets throw me off once in awhile but overall, the similar feel of my basses ingrained a familiarity that gave me a better "flow".

Zak, I feel you man. EBMM is all I own. My dad owns an old 70s P Bass that I like to '' borrow'' every once in a while, but all I play is Ernie Ball.

I've heard the very expensive Sad basses, and the land-o-lakes , and they do sound good, very good, but my Musicman sounds very good, plus more.

I dont know if there is some magic dust in SLO that they sprinkle on them, or if they wipe them with BP's dirty socks before they leave the factory, or what..... but Ernie Ball Musicmans have that special sound, vibe, whatever you wanna call it that I cant find in any other bass, and thats not just lip service, thats my honest opinion, and thats why I play their basses.

I know how you feel. I went from 3 7enders and 1 ball to 3 balls and 1 7ender in a 30 day time frame. I finally sold the non ball and now I'm ALL balls!

That's exactly ho I feel too, it's weird really. Maybe it's just psychological - but it makes me feel better. Maybe it's the better sound, I don't know. And you know what, the 24 fret neck is a comfortable option for me, I actually prefer it for some reason (the stingray throws me off now!)

I'm 18 now, I can do what I want! I've got no work to do, but not everyone has finished yet so the parties start on Thursday this week...so therefore in the meantime I will post here at ridiculous hours!

On the 19th of May from PaulC. It's and egytian smoke HS and it annihilates every other bass I've played.
