Alright here's the deal:

I have to go through Guitar Center. It's the only way I can afford it because I have the employee pricing.

I think I have narrowed it down to either an ASS or the JP. I'm leaning towards:

Axis Super Sport, Pacific Blue Burst, Rosewood, Matching headstock, piezo, trem.

What do you think?

If you can get it from GC in that config then go for it, after picking up an ASS today from them you will be very happy, and thru your rig well tones out the huh ASS

I went today to order my guitar. I asked them to see if they could find me a Blue Dawn. According to them, there are none within the chain (lie). Then, I said okay, let me order the Sequioa Gold. They said they can't, it isn't a real color (lie?). Then I said, no its real, its real, like a little kid claiming santa is. They then said well since EB is closed they cannot price it. SO I said fine, I'll give you three hundred bucks today if you order it on monday. They said NO, they need FIFTY PERCENT OF THE COST just to ORDER it. Pay 50% on something I won't get for 5 months? I don't know about that.

So it looks like my dream has further been suspended, and I need to find something IN STOCK at the local guitar center. They have nothing. They can't transfer it from a location, and they need 50% of a new one. I'm a kid, that's pretty hefty. Still on the search to get a real guitar....

Tell them there is a 2007 Blue Dawn JP hanging at about 6' on the east side of the support stansion at the front end of the guitar section, which has the full selection of Music Man instruments at this GC

Give them a call and ask for Robbie, he is the Platinum Room manager and a great dude to work with, I know they can transfer items been there done that.

Just give him a call and tell him Keith Sweat pointed you in his direction, I really dont have any pull but he will know you are serious.

Here's the deal:

I would love to. I really DON'T want to talk to ANYONE who is affiliated with them. I have never been treated decently by that store. However, the company whom I work for - Music And Arts - is owned by guitar center. Therefore, I have an employee discount - cost plus freight. Now that discount is just TOO great to give up per order customer service. I would love to deal with either Pete, or Kyle at LA music. I wouldn't ever ask them, though, to match GC's price. It isn't fair to them from multiple standpoints.

GC is a huge organization with an enormous amount of staff carrying an even bigger number of products. This to me sounds like the staff member you're dealing with just hasn't been told. The LE info has only been out for a week or so. Why not go back and explain that you can order it and I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.
