Well, OK, I was playing with my vintage VHS-C camera at home and said to myself, OK why not to share this with my friends on the EBMM forum! :D

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DVZ0w7CU3c"]YouTube - 2008. EBMM Sterling 5 HS[/ame]

I tried to record myself playing over PC speakers, but sound is awful and there are still factory (1 year old) strings on, so... :rolleyes: ...when I change strings, and plug in my amp/box set, I'll share with You guys some real live stuff! :)

See ya soon! ;)

Well, it sounds pretty decent to me! Great little vid you made there, thanks for sharing. Those Sterling5's are incredible basses.

But yeah, excellent, I enjoyed that thoroughly.

No, no ...dear friend, this soundtrack is original Jaco's "chicken" audio track mounted on this video, I said that I've made a few other records which I don't like, so very soon I'm gonna record myself how playing live in front of the camera some technical standards to show You how my bass realy works, just that! ;)

So, one more time, I don't play bass in this video clip, Jaco does! :D
It's just my favorite soundtrack! :rolleyes:

Not bad at all! What pickups did you use?

Oh nooo! :rolleyes:

Please read post from above, I don't play that soundtrack!

But I promise, soon I'm gonna show You how to get that tone with Sterling's bridge single coil pickup switch position with 80% bass boost, 25% middle boost and treble set flat!

I'm just looking to find the best way to record myself with my vintage camera, so please be patient and give me some more time to do that! :eek:

LOL!!! Well, I thought that was some mighty fine playing you did there!

(and was wondering how you got that Jaco sound from your Sterling)

OK, just strung this bass with fresh EB Regular Slinky Bass set, and tomorrow evening I'm home alone :D kids are gonna play at friends, wife goes to hers gospel choir to practice, and try to guess what I'm gonna do? :eek:

I just have difficult decision to make, should I play through my amp/box gear and record that in front of cheap vintage VHS-C camera with low end built in mono mic, or should I just plug in bass directly to the "line in" of PC sound card (good one) and synchronize later audio track with video? Or both, parallel simultaneously and see later what sounds better?

Anyway, if everything goes fine, maybe at Friday I'll have some nice stuff to make a solid video clip! And this time You'll see me playing, not Jaco in the background! :D

Oh yeah, I'll put my old leather strap on... :p

See ya!

Well, I deleted my previous post and giving You a final video of my bass demo!

I know that I become a boring already, but forgive me please! :eek:

So here it is, hope You're gonna like this one:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75xRTQOq5aw"]YouTube- 2008. EBMM Sterling 5 HS Demo[/ame]

It's recorded raw at once, video signal from VHS-C camera, and audio signal from my bass amp head (line-out) directly to the DVR (Digital Video Recorder) line-in jacks.
Amp set flat!
Only used bass guitar preamp built in bass!

Thanks guys for support! :)

I'm to lazy to do some changes so I'll leave video like it is, but after watching I found some detunes of A and D strings (fresh strings), I was impatient to record this few technical standards just to demonstrate my bass tone!
In different circumstances I would wait one or two more days that fresh strung become stable, but who cares now! :D

P.S. ...T Alan, I was trying to reach "Your music" link, but there's only album cover and song list?

Wow, excellent tone and brilliant demonstration of what the HS is capable of. Great sounds and sweet playing.
