So we were *this* close to having Dudley join our party and now nothing! All to what? A stupid bass player joke that spurred a silly guitar vs. bass discusion that ruined the freak'n thread. I'd just like to say thanks to the responsible parties.
Delete if you must but I wanted my opinion heard.  :(

Shhhh. I doubt a derailed thread is going to make a big difference. BP was just yanking chains. You ever notice he does that sometimes?

I shouldn't say this but, I love it when he does; makes for a brighter day in my sometime hectic world.

Yeah! I got in trouble once too. BP even eludided (at least from my perspective) that he would no longer participate in the forums if my type of behavior continued. It's not like I was spreading bass aids, continually bashing other companies, or even saying my guitar was the rarest or most sparkley and that jon was wrong. Just whining and moaning.
Nobody's mad at us. They love us.

Yo! Phat!
Don't lurk. Be yourself. Turn it up a notch. Don't pretend to be something you're not. I set myself up to be a whipping post and I love for people to make me the butt of the joke. Do your worst. Sure, Keith and I have the tactless department covered, but something about being thin skinned is not you.
Rock out with your punk self.

Ok kids here is the straight story. last night I was pissed that phatty would hack the website and post hidden pages without asking some one. Keiths bathroom thread was really wierd. The dudley thread got hijacked by guys who were bored and took it way off track.

One of the biggest reasons why lurkers dont post is that some of the regulars intimidate and dominate. Love you regulars, but if you dont have anything to add to the post then go to the next thread. This makes for a more of an interesting place.

Norm you did get in trouble with me. The whinning was getting out of control. The other Mod's just took it, I didn't have to and I really think that if you have a problem we have a very adequate customer service policy and staff. You have stopped whinning and bitching and I thank you for that.

None of you should go away, but sometimes there needs to be a chiropractic adjustment to these boards.

See you kids tonight..........

so this is pretty much against my better judgement ... but im gonna make my case. no disrespect to BP or anyone at all. here goes ...

I feel like I've been "accused" of doing something that I honestly didn't do .... I didnt hack anything, at all - not even close. I didnt post a hidden page. The page in question is the member search page which is accessible to all forum members ... i didnt sneak it onto the servers - its already there. if i wanted to add something to the site i would ask ... ive offered my web skills up before, and i really would do that kind of stuff w/o asking for anything in return (same way Jon helps us out on the forum - he's just a nice guy that cares - and so I am).

since i respect EBMM and this forum is their "property" i totally understand that i gotta "play by the rules" and listen when "the man" speaks ... but i really, really wanna make it clear - without going into details - that I didnt "hack" anything. im not that kinda guy. i feel what i did was sorely misinterpretted.

those of you that know me better than just "that guy I met online" know i wouldnt do something like that ... especially to a forum/entity/person/company/friends whom I highly respect.

im not mad, just a bit bummed ... but, i'll still be rockin' my Sterling at my gig tonight

peace out,
- arin

I don't have any idea what transpired last night - I was in the studio playing my bass and enjoying some liquid refreshment, but this, my friends, is the best advice I've seen in a long, long time:

"One of the biggest reasons why lurkers dont post is that some of the regulars intimidate and dominate. Love you regulars, but if you dont have anything to add to the post then go to the next thread. This makes for a more of an interesting place."

I love you regular guys, too, but....well, what the boss said.

Take a deep breath before posting if you have to. Let's get back on track.

Thread closed!
