wow
i just found out on monday that an amp makes a big differece to your sound. my band had a concert in a large bar, lots of people, and we player for a good hour and a half, all originals. well, at first, i used my own amp, a peavey combo 115, fairly decent. then the headlining band played their set, but we had to go on again to play some covers. well the bass player of the headlining band had an ampeg half stack, a 400 watt head with a 4*10 cab. wow. i was amazed at the difference in sound. it was much more full, and loud. i was stunned to notice such a big change. not to mention, my stingray sound amazing with it. then i looked at the video of our performance, i could not hear the bass when i was plugged in the peavey but then with the ampeg i heard it perfectly, every note. i was stunned. now i have to save up some money for a nice amp like that.
