most of us guitar players are more concentrated about playing fast solos than really getting involved in the song.

the most important thing before being a good soloist is to contribute to the song with the groove and the ideas...

so here's an shot of the way I do it, more than anything, it's done ti have a lot of fun...

That sure is some funky playing but, I have to say that I don't agree with that at all. Some younger players or inexperienced players do. Most players I know are very aware of integrating themselves into an arrangement and being a musician first and a guitar player second. I try. With my band I sit back as much as I can.

I think that was far too much of a sweeping statement.

Still, that was funkeh. I enjoyed watching it.

Yeah! I don't know if it's just laziness, but I'm really happy playing some of the covers we do that don't have solos at all (Green Day, Foo Fighters etc)

Nice sometimes just to bang out the riffs all the way through!:D

well, I think Tristan was refering to the previous Video posted here. As far as I remember all the videos I have seen were showing someone soloing.

This is the first video of someone playing only rythm.

We all know that a flashy solo will not make a song and that all the aspect of playing guitars are very important while writting a song or jammin'
