My 91 EBMM EVH needs some TLC. I need someone who's reliable and experienced with this guitar and Floyd Rose Trems.
Thanks

He guys!! Where you at? I'm in Hackettstown!!

Dave's Sound has been the only game in town for decades around here. Lark Street Guitars was recommended to me, but when I took my tele there to be refretted they would not do it. Because it was one of the Fender eras where they sprayed the poly OVER the frets. Didn't seem to be a problem for the tech I found who DID do it, so I've lost confidence in Lark Street. Haven't taken anything to Dave's in 35 years.

Most music stores have a tech dept, but IDK which ones can be "trusted" for advanced repairs.

The guy who did my refret, and I can recommend, is Schoolhouse Guitar Repair, altho he's more in central NJ:

I will have to check my Am Pro Jazzmaster, but I'm pretty sure that's most eras of fender guitars with maple fretboards had the finish put on over the frets, and then buffed off the top. This is why many shops charge more for fender style maple fretboards. If it's a vintage fender, the frets were driven in from the side of the fretboard as well.

Phil DeAngelo in Fair Lawn is an absolute master luthier. I have had him build guitars and maintain guitars with perfect setups. Including my EBMM Morse and Luke guitars.
