i found this guy who wants to trade his axis sport with my fender american delux
the thing is it;s not the SUPER sport flame top as i wanted for a year now
but the guitar sounds very nice and chubby which i like very much.
the only thing that gives me second thoghts about trading ,
is some how i get the sence that the"SPORT" is way less fantsy then the "SUPER SPORT" you know... the parts the exesories and look in general.
i have to mention that the serial no is very low (G02942)
does it means somthing....????

anyway i need someone to tell me if this is a bad trade or it is ok?

p.s since the day i got my luke which was allmost 2 years ago i didnt touch the fender at all it is sitting in the freakin case for allmost 2 years .exept for one time that the musical director of some gig wanted me to bring the fender down.

no disrespect for fender guitas just need an advice ......thats it

help help help...

thank you for reading my long a$$ thread and thanks for the help

the new guy.

Do the trade. You can still get your ASS later.
You're currently not playing the F@nder and most likely wont.
At least you'll play the axis.
It may not have all bells and such you want, but at least you'll be playing 2 balls!

I love my Sport. I actually in some way like it better than a Super Sport. I like the one piece ash body and find it sounds essentially the same as the Super. Im not real big on the black painted back and sides of the Super. Also, the Sport looks great if it never had a pick guard mounted. Id go for it if I were you.

The Axis Sports have the same parts and stuff as the ASSes, hehehehehe.

I have an Axis Sport and love it, great guitar and sounds awesome, very tele'ish.

Can you post some pictures of it? I've seen trans purple Axis Sports, but never a trans green without a pickguard.

I would do the trade too. My Strat is not getting any playing since 3 years now. While all other EBMM are on heavy rotation :D

The difference between the ASS and Axis sport is that the body the Ash body while on the ASS it's a basswood exept for the ASS MM90. And of couse you haven't the mapple top

That being said the second hand market for the ASS is slightly higher than the Sport

Though I'm sure you won't regret if you trade but but if you don't fancy the Axis sport too much don't do the trade and get the ASS of your dream by selling the Strat and reinvest the money in the ASS

That's what I'd do. Despite the higher build quality of the Sport, the Am. Strat would probably fetch more dollars, if it's in excellent condition. So I'd sell it and then look for the MM I really wanted rather than settle for a model I'm unsure of.

I had a HSS Sport. It was nice, but not what I really wanted. So, I sold it and got what I wanted: another Silo Special.

If you don't want it I'll look at it -
pup combo HSS?
Trem or hardtail?

If it's got no pickguard, I would most likely guess it to be H-H

But if it's sitting in the closet, it's not worth as much obviously.
