So I finally recorded a CD. At the ripe old age of 46, it's never too late! I've been a bandleader for what counts as my music career, including national acts, but there was always studio guys on those albums. Time to do my own. Traditional blues, largely instrumental material. I aimed to capture the conversations that occur in great blues jams between band members. All live, improvised material.

Coming from a high-end audio background, I also wanted to do an audiophile-quality release. So we used this - REAL TAPE:

Cookie Marenco was the recording engineer, a heavy-hitter in the audiophile community:

Of course my EBMMs played a large role. My brand-spanking new AL was the most used axe:

I even had the hat!

Hendrix was a little intimidating:

My Y2D made an appearance:

We had the great Kevin Burton on the Hammond:

My daughter player her Big Al, literally the week before she went to music school at USC:

As always, thanks to EBMM for making such great instruments. I brought several very nice axes, and damn if the AL didn't just win the day.

You can preview three tracks here, hopefully we'll have it ready for release early next year (maybe even on vinyl!).
