I love my EVH so much I had to buy an Axis to go with it so I could modify it the way I want (no way will I alter the EVH). That said, I just got what I consider a great deal ($999) on a 2010 Pacific Blue Burst Axis with nice flame on the body and neck (pics below). I'm going to add a push-pull volume to split coils and also want to add a tone pot while I'm in there. I believe there is enough room in the current body cavity for the tone. Can anyone confirm? Also does anyone know if short shaft pots will fit or do I need to use long shaft. The guitar won't arrive until Monday so I can't check but I want to have all the parts in hand when it arrives. I know the ASS already has all of this but I like having the Floyd. Thanks in advance for the help!

Don't know the answer to your question, but that's a gorgeous guitar -- like waves. Congrats.

Thanks fellas! I got it on ebay and couldn't figure out why no one was bidding on it. I realized after I won it that it was listed in the wrong category so no one was seeing it. Lucky for me!

I believe the short shaft is what I bought as a replacement volume for my EVH. Instead of drilling another hole, how about a dual pot? CTS 250K and 500K Concentric Pot | Allparts.com

Also, looks like the previous owner swapped out the Volume knob and the short throw 3 way toggle. You might want to check if they did a good job with the wiring and if the pickups are original when you get it.

Thanks for the info. I'll take a look at the concentric pot. The previous owner changed the volume pot to a Fender S1 pot for coil splitting. I'd leave it in there but I don't like Tele style knobs on an Axis and it'll need to be changed to accept the correct style knob. I don't mind the switch change. I'm not a big fan of the short throw. I will be checking the pickups as soon as I get it... you never know.
