I think its time we had another NBD thread.

I LOVE the Big Al (played a few now) and I cannot wait to finally get mine.

Bass is with my store and should be with me Thursday!

These are just basic photos, and sorry, for some reason when I try to rotate, they don't save right on here!

Good luck movielief, I had a Big Al lemon which now prevents me from getting one sight unseen but Ed Friedlands clips really show all the awesome things that bad boy can do. I wish once you chose the pickups you could pan between them... do 60\40 bridge to neck etc like a Fender Jazz.

I read your thread on TalkBass and I meant to respond. The effects you described seemed like an impedance mismatch. When I plug my bass into my computer it responds the way you describe, but through my amp into a high impedance input, it behaves exactly the way it's supposed to.

In two months my Big Al 5 managed to kick all my other non-MM basses out of the nest... it's apparently the alpha bird.

My Big Al has cured all my GAS for a month now. Well except for maybe a Bongo 4H.:D

My poor P just sits there. My J is like...play me, play me! Big Al is numero uno.

My girlfriend is home, im working :(

But, apparently it has arrived! I wont get my hands on it until MUCH later today maybe not even until tomorrow night.

I have work, then golf lessons, then a meal out, then I have to make room for the electrician coming early tomorrow!

I have a day off tomorrow but its very busy already.

Ah well, I will see it soon.

Cheers

You are different than the rest of us. NBD should be more important than golf, work or anything else.

Golf is my new hobby and im being given free lessons from a pro! :)

Work, well im still waiting for my 'real' job to start in a law firm as a trainee solicitor, (I am contracted to start next year) so this is just a normal run of the mill job.

Unfortunately, I have to work today :(

Ive waited since October for this, so im quite happy to wait a few more days to play it properly.

I will open it later to check it.

BP and EBMM, thanks, this is VERY well made. Exceptional paintwork, neck to body fitment, tone, case, fretwork. etc.

Love it. Now I want a Bongo.
